Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing or using the EpisoShort app or this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use EpisoShort on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

EpisoShort is operated by ARTEFACT INTERNATIONAL LIMITED ("EpisoShort", "we", "us").

2. Your account

• You can watch as a guest. Guest accounts are tied to a device and may not survive uninstalling the app or losing the device.
• To keep your library, coins and purchases, sign in with Apple or Google, or bind an email address.
• You must be at least 16 and meet the minimum age required where you live. If you are under 18, you may only use EpisoShort with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
• Keep access to your sign-in provider secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you think it has been used without your permission.
• You may delete your account at any time; see Delete Account.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and limited licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law. Store-specific terms from the App Store or Google Play also apply to your download of the app.

4. Content and availability

Series, episodes and features change over time. Titles may be added, removed or reordered as licensing allows, and some content is only available in certain regions. We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability; maintenance, network conditions and third-party failures can interrupt playback.

5. Coins, rewards and unlocks

• Coins are credits used inside the app, either purchased or earned through rewards. They are not money, do not earn interest, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.
• Coins are consumed when you unlock an episode. Refunds are subject to the purchase terms shown in the app, applicable law and the rules of the payment provider. Contact support about a failed or duplicate unlock.
• Check-in streaks and task rewards follow the rules shown in the app at the time you claim them. Missing a day can reset a streak. We may adjust reward amounts and eligibility where necessary to prevent abuse.
• Coins obtained through fraud, exploit or error remain ours, and we may reverse them and suspend the account involved.
• Coins purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system do not expire. Any expiry or other restrictions on promotional reward coins are disclosed with the relevant reward.

6. Membership and purchases

Membership and coin packs may be purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Prices, billing periods and what a plan includes are shown before you confirm a purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancellation is handled by the store you bought from, not by EpisoShort — see Subscription Terms.
• Except where required by law or the payment provider's policies, purchases are non-refundable. Refund requests follow the rules of the store or payment provider that processed your payment. Use the store's refund process or contact support for help with a charge.
• Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. To stop future charges, cancel it separately in your store settings; cancellation is not a condition for requesting account deletion.
• If a payment fails or is reversed, the associated benefits may be withdrawn.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, record, redistribute, re-upload or publicly perform content from EpisoShort, or circumvent playback protection to do so;
• use bots, scrapers, emulators or automation to access the service, farm rewards or manipulate viewing counts;
• interfere with the app, its servers or other users, including by probing, overloading or attempting to gain unauthorised access;
• impersonate another person, or upload unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing material through feedback or any other user-facing channel;
• use the service to break the law.

8. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the EpisoShort name and logo, and all series, episodes, artwork, music and subtitles made available through the service are owned by us or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

9. Third-party services

The app relies on services provided by third parties, including Apple, Google, our payment provider, and our streaming and notification infrastructure. Their own terms may apply to those parts of the experience. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, but we choose them with care and remain responsible for the service we provide to you.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, if a payment is reversed, or if required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will explain why and give you a chance to respond. You can stop using EpisoShort at any time; sections on purchases already made, intellectual property, disclaimers and liability survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that playback will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content will always be available, or that the service will meet every expectation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including statutory consumer guarantees.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continued use after that point means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ARTEFACT INTERNATIONAL LIMITED is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
